MindWarden App Visibility

MindWarden needs to see certain apps on your device so you can choose apps to block and so MindWarden can apply your local blocking rules.

Why App Visibility Is Needed

MindWarden uses app package names, labels, icons, and installation state for:

• Showing your app picker.
• Letting you choose distracting apps to block.
• Matching installed app rules during blocking.
• Displaying most-used and most-blocked app information.
• Handling supported browsers and selected social apps.

Local Use Only

App visibility information is processed locally on your device. The current app does not send installed-app inventory to MindWarden or third parties, does not use it for ads, and does not use it for analytics.

What You Can Control

You choose which apps to block. You can remove blocked-app rules at any time, clear local MindWarden data in Android settings, or uninstall MindWarden after deactivating Device Admin if it is active.

Institutional Review

For schools, workplaces, and managed environments, MindWarden's app visibility is tied to its user-facing digital wellbeing purpose: selecting and enforcing local app blocking rules. App visibility should be evaluated together with the Privacy Policy, Data Usage and Safety page, Accessibility Declaration, and Device Admin Disclosure.
