MindWarden Package Visibility

Last updated: June 1, 2026

MindWarden needs limited app visibility so users can choose apps to block and so local blocking rules can identify supported browsers and selected social apps.

What MindWarden can see

MindWarden uses narrow Android package visibility rules for:

  • Launchable apps shown in the app picker.
  • Supported browsers used for website blocking.
  • Known social apps used by local blocker rules.

What MindWarden avoids

MindWarden does not request broad QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES visibility. This limits unnecessary access to a full installed-app inventory.

Why this matters

Narrow package visibility helps MindWarden provide app blocking while reducing unnecessary exposure of installed-app information.
