MindWarden uses Android Device Admin only for the optional Uninstall Protection feature.

Why Device Admin is used

Uninstall Protection adds friction against impulsive uninstalling or disabling MindWarden during the detox period you select.

User control

Device Admin is optional. You choose whether to enable Uninstall Protection and choose the protection period.

Available protection periods:

• 1 day
• 3 days
• 7 days
• 14 days
• 30 days

Limitations

MindWarden does not claim that uninstalling is impossible. Android behavior varies by device, Android version, and manufacturer settings. Device Admin adds friction, but it is not a guarantee that removal cannot be bypassed.

Data handling

Device Admin status and selected protection timing are processed locally on your device. MindWarden does not upload this information.
