Local Data Inventory
| Local data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| App package names, labels, icons, and installation state | App picker, blocking, most-used apps, and most-blocked app display | Rules remain until removed; display data is queried as needed |
| Foreground-use events and durations from Android Usage Access | Screen time, distraction usage, goals, Saved Time, and app rankings | Queried from Android; summary records may be stored locally |
| Supported-browser address-bar text in memory | Local website, adult-content, Safe Search, and social-media rule matching | Processed temporarily in memory and not uploaded |
| Normalized blocked domain, block type, and timestamp | Progress totals, most-blocked websites, time grouping, and configured automatic-lock rules | Kept until Progress data is cleared |
| Blocked domains, Block Screen text, optional image reference, selected apps and websites | User configuration | Kept until changed, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled |
| Focus and Phone Lock timing, completion state, goals, and schedule settings | Enforce sessions and calculate Progress | Kept until cleared, replaced, or the app is uninstalled |
| Protection and permission availability | Keep Progress and lock state accurate | Kept until Progress data is cleared |
MindWarden does not store full browsing history, full blocked URLs, page content, private messages, passwords, or search text.
App Permissions And Special Access
MindWarden may ask you to enable Android special access only when a feature needs it:
- Usage Access, for historical screen-time and Progress calculations.
- Accessibility, for real-time app and supported-browser blocking.
- Device Admin, for optional Phone Lock screen locking and uninstall friction.
- Notifications, for active Phone Lock and protection status.
- Alarms & reminders, for scheduled Phone Lock sessions.
You can revoke these permissions in Android settings. Features that depend on a revoked permission may stop working or show an unavailable state.
Network And Third-Party SDKs
The current app does not request INTERNET permission and does not include advertising, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, attribution, social-login, cloud-sync, billing, or support-chat SDKs.
Opening a MindWarden website, policy, or support link launches your browser. That browser session is separate from the app's local data processing.
Security And Deletion
MindWarden stores local rules, settings, session state, and Progress data in Android app-private storage. You can delete local data by clearing Progress data, clearing all MindWarden app storage, or uninstalling the app. If Device Admin is active, Android requires you to deactivate it before uninstalling the app.
Future Changes
If a future release adds accounts, cloud sync, telemetry, advertising, subscriptions, remote classification, or any SDK that transmits user or device data, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated before release.
