MindWarden Accessibility Declaration
Last updated: June 1, 2026
MindWarden uses Android Accessibility permission only for user-selected digital wellbeing protection.
Why Accessibility is used
Android does not provide a standard permission that lets blocker apps reliably detect the foreground app or the visible domain in supported browsers. MindWarden uses Accessibility so it can apply the blocking rules you choose.
What MindWarden can do with Accessibility
- Detect when a blocked app is opened.
- Detect the visible URL or domain in supported browsers.
- Apply website, adult-content, Safe Search, and social-media rules you enable.
- Show the MindWarden Block Screen during an active rule or Phone Lock session.
- Add best-effort friction around MindWarden settings during an active Uninstall Protection period.
What MindWarden does not do
- MindWarden does not read your messages, passwords, private chats, or personal content.
- MindWarden does not upload app usage or browsing activity.
- MindWarden does not store browsing history.
- MindWarden does not use Accessibility for advertising or analytics.
- MindWarden does not perform hidden actions unrelated to blocker protection.
Local processing
Accessibility events are processed on your device. MindWarden compares the current app or visible browser domain against your local rules and local blocklists.
